Children ages 4-7
with heights between 42.5" and 53" (and not over 55 lbs.) can grab some fluff
and show their stuff in the Mutton Bustin' event during Belton's 85th Annual
4th of July PRCA Rodeo July 1 - July 3, 2010. One of the most popular
attractions at the annual rodeo, the Mutton Bustin', features young cowpokes
clinging to sheep as hard as they can for as long as they can. Like the
standard roughtstock events, time and score count.
8 young
cowboy and cowgirl wannabe's will get their chance in the arena Thursday, July
1st through Saturday, July 3rd, as they mount their feisty sheep and head for
the thrill of their young lives. T-Shirts and certificates will be awarded to
all contestants. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will be awarded each night.
Participants are chosen through a random drawing. All children must be present
with an adult at registration so they can be measured to meet height
requirements and sign a release. No participants will be allowed to register
the night of the rodeo.
